Hovitaga announced a free version of their Report Generator tool for SAP systems

Hovitaga made a free version available of their Report Generator software add-on for SAP systems that effectively reduces IT costs of SAP customers. It can be downloaded from their website for free and can be used in any number of SAP systems by any number of users without time limit.

Hovitaga Report Generator is an ABAP add-on that accelerates SAP reporting by significantly reducing development time. This is achieved with automatic ABAP code generation, which eliminates manual programming of code that is always part of every report but is always different.

Depending on the report generation settings, 200-1000+ lines of ABAP code can be generated in a few minutes. This can save from a few hours to a day of development time depending on the complexity of the report. The generated report is fully compliant with the SAP developer guidelines (naming conventions etc.), well commented and easy to read. Extending the generated reports is very easy, even the event handler methods can be generated for the ALV controls that display the data. The report follows the standard SAP software development lifecycle (can be added to packages and transport requests).

Reporting is critical from the perspective of the business, since all business decisions are based on some sort of reports. The availability and quality of SAP reports have a great influence on the efficiency of SAP implementations. SAP customers can benefit from accelerated ad-hoc reporting with the use of Hovitaga Report Generator.

The free version does not include all features of the full version, but it is still a great tool and it can give an idea how the full version would simplify the work of the SAP IT department.

Usoris Systems Announces the Release of Remote Desktop Software Version 5.1

Remote Desktop SoftwareAlex Ter-Osipov, Usoris Technical Director reports, “Our new version 5.1 is a minor release, yet it has so many new features that it is in many ways like a major release. The new QuickConnect module, Gateway Mediation Server, and Voice & Video Chat connection mode, as well as numerous other features and fixes took us almost six months to develop, but it was worth it. We promised our users that we would implement their wishes in the new release, and that the upgrade would be free – now we are delivering on our promises."

Remote Utilities (RUT) is remote desktop software that provides easy and secure access to remote PCs. With Remote Utilities, the user can view a remote screen and operate the mouse and keyboard as if sitting right there. Remote Utilities can connect either over a LAN or the Internet. The connection is established either directly using an IP address, or indirectly using Internet ID, a firewall bypass feature that is today’s standard for advanced and powerful remote PC access software.

The QuickConnect feature lets the remote user establish a remote connection without installing the program. The user only has to run the QuickConnect file and then accept the incoming connection from the helpdesk technician. The QuickConnect executable file is downloaded and then the user accepts the remote connection request from the helpdesk technician. The technician takes care of everything else.

The other major addition is the Gateway Mediation Server (GMS), a free program that replicates the functionality of the Internet ID server and allows firewalls and NAT services to be bypassed when establishing a remote connection. The GMS is aimed specifically at helpdesk providers. Unlike the global Internet ID server, the Gateway Mediation Server can be downloaded and installed locally. The helpdesk provider has full control over the mediated connection and is no longer dependent on a global Internet ID server.

Also new to version 5.1 are Voice & Video Chat that uses the open media file format WebM, which ensures good audio/video quality even on slower Internet connections; the customization of the Quick Connect module with the user's logo, text and background color; and an Address book manager that enables the user to work with multiple address books and to set any address book to ‘Read only’ to protect it from being modified.

Many older features have been upgraded. The built-in MSI-Configurator has been significantly improved with three types of RUT-Server distribution packages. Users can now create Standard MSI packages, ‘One-click’ packages, and QuickConnect packages. The file transfer window now features tabs that can be ‘assigned’ to different remote PCs thus allowing the remote user to access files on different PCs from the same window. Now, the remote RUT-Server settings can be accessed from the context menu for the selected connection in the RUT-Viewer.

Conrad Sallian, Director of Marketing and PR adds, “Remote Utilities has always been a product for ‘techies,’ one of the best remote desktop software products for professional use. No one will be surprised that the new features in this release are mostly for professionals who need reliable remote desktop software in their everyday work. We do not oversimplify things at the expense of security and performance; rather, we offer a powerful product for power users and will stick with this strategy in the future."

Remote Utilities includes important user benefits like a lifetime license, the ability to transfer a license, firewall bypass, built-in remote installation and configuration tools, an on-premise mediation server and the option of a no-installation, no-configuration remote host.

To learn more about Remote Utilities and how you can benefit by being able to access remote PCs from any location, visit the company at http://www.remoteutilities.com/ .

Usoris Systems, founded in 2009, specializes in developing remote desktop software for system administrators and helpdesk companies. Remote Utilities (RUT), the flagship product, is a lightning-fast remote control program for secure access to remote workstations and servers. The name 'Usoris' stands for ‘user oriented software’.

LiveVox Launches Intergrated Cloud ACD/PBX

LiveVox Inc., the provider of the Private VoIP Cloud™ and integrated contact center applications, today announced that it has developed an integrated ACD/PBX for its highly scalable cloud call center suite.

The integration of the Cloud ACD/PBX eliminates the need for expensive and limited site-premised PBXs while delivering advanced call routing, back office support and voicemail. Other LiveVox applications include predictive dialer, IVR, call recording and business analytics.

With cloud-based switching as part of its core architecture, LiveVox provides a simpler network topology and faster voice/data transfers to contact centers. LiveVox has detailed this new approach in the strategic briefing paper "How Cloud-Based Switching Simplifies Multi-Site Routing." Download it here ( http://info.livevox.com/livevoxcom/download-livevox-cloud-switching-whitepaper/ ).

"Cloud switching and the LiveVox Cloud ACD/PBX eliminate enormous costs and integration challenges for contact centers," said Louis Summe, Chief Executive Officer, LiveVox. "Contact center executives often believed they were forced into PBX upgrades in order to migrate to VoIP/MPLS. This adds needless maintenance and hardware integration that slows deployment while increasing cost and complexity. Technology has adapted to keep contact centers more agile through the cloud."

Each contact center environment is unique, and LiveVox maps out specific ACD/PBX implementation requirements. However, cloud deployment is still less costly and time consuming across an organization than installing a site-premised IP-PBX at each location.

In addition to the standard features of a traditional PBX, benefits of the LiveVox Cloud PBX include:

- Faster voice/data transfers to and between agent locations;- Faster deployment inside and across locations than competing hardware;- Greater integration between dialer, ACD, IVR and CRM systems;- Burstable line/network/agent requirements on demand;- Portable licensing across locations;- Simpler network topology via the cloud.

"Call center technology has reached an inflection point," said Michael Reed, Vice President, Engineering, LiveVox. "Advances in standards and cloud technology have made it much easier for contact centers to leverage VoIP/MPLS. Contact centers no longer need to put expensive hardware or complex PBX upgrades between themselves and the cloud."

For more information about transitioning a contact center to VoIP, download "Take the Migraine out of VoIP Migration" here.
